An interim service sits between your annual full services. At its heart is an engine oil and oil filter change, because oil breaks down with heat and mileage long before most people think about it.
Alongside the oil and filter, our interim service includes a vehicle health check, fluid top ups, an interior hoover and a diagnostics print out, so you leave with fresh oil and a clear picture of how the car is doing.
It suits high-mileage drivers, short-trip town driving that is hard on oil, and anyone who would rather catch small problems early than find them at the next full service.
When to book it
- It has been roughly six months or several thousand miles since the last service
- You do a lot of motorway miles, or lots of short local trips
- The oil is dark on the dipstick or the level keeps dropping
- A service reminder is showing on the dash
- You have a long trip coming up and want peace of mind first
How we handle it
Book a slot online with your reg and pick a time that suits you. Abid carries out the service himself, working to what your car actually needs.
If anything else turns up during the checks, such as worn pads or a weeping hose, you are told what it is and what it will cost before anything extra goes ahead. Nothing is added without your say-so.

Questions answered
How often should I have an interim service?
A common rule of thumb is every six months or around halfway between full services, but your manufacturer’s schedule is the best guide. If you cover high mileage or mostly short trips, more frequent oil changes are worth it.
What is the difference between an interim and a full service?
Our interim service covers the oil and oil filter, a vehicle health check, fluid top ups, an interior hoover and a diagnostics print out. The full service adds the air filter, and the major service adds the cabin filter, spark plugs and fuel filter (if applicable).
Will an interim service replace my annual service?
No. It is designed to top up between full services, not replace them. Keeping up with the full service schedule still matters for the health of the car.
